What it is
Totem poles belong to specific Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian stories. Saxman and the parks in Ketchikan and Sitka are the places cruise passengers can actually learn that, if they slow down. Read the panel. The figure is not a mascot. If you are on a ship for one afternoon, this and a walk off the dock beat a third jewelry store.
