What it is
The standard is a dock shack or a grill, not a sauce that hides the fish. Tracy’s King Crab Shack in Juneau is the famous one. Homer, Seward, and Sitka have their own versions. If you caught it, a processor or the charter will often cook or ship it. If you did not, order the local fish and skip anything that had to fly in.
Before you go
Ask what came in today. King crab is worth it once. The line at the shack is part of the meal.
