What it is
The Captain Cook has been the Anchorage hotel people name. It is downtown, which matters if you want to walk to dinner, and the Crow’s Nest is the dining room with the inlet and the mountains in the window. Use it as a base for the Kenai, Girdwood, and a flight north, not as the whole trip.
Before you go
Ask for a view if that is why you booked it. Downtown is walkable. A car still helps the next morning.
