Kayak among icebergs
A guided paddle near tidewater ice in Prince William Sound or Kenai Fjords.

What it is
Kayaking beside a glacier is quieter than a cruise deck and colder than it looks in photos. Guided trips from Whittier, Valdez, and Seward put beginners in stable boats with the gear included. You are there for the ice, the seals, and the sound a berg makes when it rolls. Give the ice room.
Before you go
Book a guided trip. Falling ice throws a wave. Your guide sets the distance.
