Climb Denali
An expedition to the highest peak in North America. Most parties do not summit.

What it is
Denali is 20,310 feet and it is climbed as a glacier expedition, not a weekend peak. The season runs from late April into June. Teams fly in from Talkeetna. Cold, storms, and altitude stop more people than the walking does. If you are not already a mountaineer, this item means hiring a guide service and training for a year, not adding it to a vacation.
Before you go
Register with the National Park Service. Budget for a guide and for the chance of turning around.
